 Lasst mich zu Olympia
Zugegeben, die Leistungen der deutschen Olympiamannschaft sind trotz nicht umwerfender Erfolge so schlecht nun doch nicht. Für einen normal unsportlichen Menschen sind eine Teilnahme in diesem Team
unerreichbar.
Dennoch veranlassen mich einige Teilnehmer, die den Olympischen Gedanken "Dabei sein ist Alles" noch ernst nehmen, zu folgendem Appell. (Der Adressaten wegen in englischer Sprache):
To any of those african or asian Banana-Republics.
It is my greatest dream to participate at one of the next Olympic Games, but being born in Germany hinders my chance to fulfill this dream. Please help me to find a country that will support me.
Here are my best results so far:
- I think I can do at least 8 of the 10 hurdles.
- With a little training I can do about 200m of swimming.
- Probably 400m of runnig I can do with only little rests.
- When I was 5 years of age, I was able to jump from the 1m board in a swimming facility.
- I was quite a good rifle shooter during my time in the army.
- Last summer I also hit an artificial boar on an archery camp at our local Viking Games.
- I don't like cycling to much, but 10 miles a day should be possible.
- I have a lot of weight lifting practice with beer boxes (beck's).
- My best event so far is the parallel bars. I can sit on both bars for several ours without falling down!!!
- I'm afraid thats only nine things I can do, so there's little chance for winning a gold medal at the decathlon.
If you need any sportsmen for your Team, please contact me: Gero@Wenderholm.de. Best would be a country with a lot of sunshine, good sponsorship and low taxes. I would even do a lot of photos
with your president for propaganda means. I also have a friend who is a good sportsmen as well (especially drinking beer) and he would come too for team events.
